Early Muslim women served the community through scholarship, teaching, nursing, and other important activities. Hadhrat Anas (R.A.) said that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “The best women of mankind are four: Maryam, daughter of Imran, Assiya wife of Pharaoh, Khadija daughter of Khuwailid, and Fatima daughter of the Messenger of Allah.” – (Bukhari & Muslim) Please Note: It does not discuss Assiya the Wife of Pharaoh who is also among the Best Women.
